Project Goal
Increase volunteering
Strategies
Notify people of the current/existing GSU NPG project.
Alleviate anxiety of past problems with the NPG leadership.
Create an air of establishment stability for the garden.
Invite people to visit and decide if they would like to participate.
Tactics
Create a GSU NPG volunteer page.
Share new volunteer web page:
Social media
Previous NPG volunteer email list
Invite new and prior volunteers.
GSU NPG Volunteer web page
Create a new “Volunteer” web page.
This web page could be shared on social media to provide additional information and create establishment credibility. Links to it could also be sent to all members of the prior NPG email list, to invite them to return to volunteering.
The GSU NPG Home page could use some revitalization. It seems like a “coming soon” web page and lacks credibility.
Following: first draft for new web page content. It seeks to create a friendly, welcoming attitude. Please edit as you think best. I realize GSU will have something to say about it.

Welcome to the volunteer gardening crew of the GSU Native Plant Garden. We invite you to come for a visit any day during daylight hours, see what’s happening, think about joining our efforts.
WHAT
We’ve been working throughout the winter on weeding and preparing existing beds for new springtime planting. We’ve also installed a deer fence to keep native browsers from eating our new plants. (You’re welcome to enter through the gates). We’ve bought some new tools and tossed out some old ones. We have many projects planned for the coming months, and we’d love to have you join us.
WHEN
We gather at 9am, Thursday mornings at the main entrance to the native plant garden. We usually work until noon. If you need to arrive late or leave early, that’s fine. We’ll appreciate your company.

WHO
All levels of gardening experience are welcome, from beginner to expert. Bring your gardening gloves; tools are provided.
We are led by David, Master Gardener and native plant specialist. He lets us know on Wednesdays via email what we will be working on the following day, or if the weather conditions have canceled our activity for the week. Provide your email address to David if you’d like to be included in the weekly notices. (Address?)
HOW
Want to join? Just show up on Thursday mornings and say “Hello”.
